5 Months!

It's really hard to believe that our peanut is already 5 months old!  Her 5 month birthday fell on Saturday, and we were up north at the cottage for the weekend for Kinde Polka Fest.  So, we took the 5 month picture when we got home from school/daycare Monday.

In other Macy news, she started eating rice cereal about 2 weeks ago.  She has also sampled carrots since then.  She seems ready and willing to eat anything we feed her.  Must take after her mom!  =)
Ready to dig in for the first time!

Hey, that was delicious!

What happens when Mumma doesn't get the next spoonful into my mouth fast enough

Macy also took her first "tractor" ride recently on Daddy's lawn mower.
Macy says she only rides on green tractors!  =)

Macy's been really getting into toys and other things in her surroundings.  She also loves playing with her friends at day care.  She is such a smiley, good-natured baby and we are so lucky!!

Feeling Fall-ish

Macy and I have officially survived my first week back to school with students.  The week actually went pretty well (aside from the fact that I could barely keep my eyes open past 7 p.m. on Friday!)  Last week, a 0.8 (80%) science position opened up at my school, so I decided to take it.  Basically it means I teach one less class a day than a full time teacher.  When I found out we could work the schedule so I don't have a 6th hour (the last hour of the day), I took it!  It of course means a little less money, but I can't put a dollar amount on the extra time I'll get to spend with my little girl!  This turn of events has really helped me feel better about going back to work, a godsend to all three of us!  =)

Here are a few photos from this weekend and last...Labor Day weekend was the annual Knoblock Family Reunion at Lighthouse Park.  It was the 50th anniversary of the reunion...and Macy's first!  Here are a few pictures:

This weekend we paid a visit to Uncle Steve, Aunt Sarah, Lily, and Bella.  Since September has been feeling so fall-ish so far we decided to hit up the pumpkin patch.  Here are some cute pictures we got:

Macy & the Pumpkins

She loved looking at the pumpkins, it was hard to get her to look up for this picture!

I just love old wind mills like this and thought this scene was so pretty.

So, we're slowly adjusting to this new life of mom working and colder weather, but we'll have as much fun as we can along the way!
