It's the Great Pumpkin, Macy Doodle!

We got the chance to go pick out our pumpkins earlier today.  Our friend, Joe, grows and sells pumpkins right in his yard so we go there each year to pick a few.  This year we coordinated our pumpkin trip with a visit from Mike, Leah, and baby Jake who is 6 months old now!  We had fun visiting and picking out our pumpkins!

Fall Catch-Up

Things have been busy as usual in the Polega household! We are adjusting to fall and Mumma is adjusting to a new schedule as 2 weeks into the school year I took a more part-time job.  The adjustment has actually been easy because my new job is less stressful than my old one and I get to spend a lot more time with my favorite little lady!  I think I'm really going to like it!

We have been up to lots of different things since the beginning of the school year.  The stories are best told through photos!

We wrapped up the 2013 beach season!

We went to the Knoblock family reunion over Labor Day weekend

We ran the Kinde Polka Fest race and got 1st place in Mumma's age group, jogging stroller and all!  Here are Macy and Julia pre-race

Macy liked playing with the finish line flag

The Polega's all came over for a cookout before heading to the Polka tent.  Macy got to play with all of her cousins on the Polega side!

We recently headed to the Lansing area for the day to celebrate Caleb's first birthday!  Macy and her buddy Jacob had a good time playing together!
There was a fun playground!

Mr. Caleb and his 1st birthday cake!

The balloons were a hit!

Dads have it rough.

Georgia came over to play the other day.  It is fun that they are finally at the age that they really play together on their own.  It is so cute!  Here they are coloring.

Macy's been getting some riding time in on her dinosaur, "Tri"  who we bought second hand from a friend of Aunt Jen and Uncle Mark

Last Grindstone ice cream of the season!

Today we got to do some finger painting

Hey, Macy, finger paints are for fingers, not noses!!

Finally, we (ok, mostly TJ) have been putting a lot of work into the outside of our house this summer.  Last summer we renovated the inside, this year it was the outside.  I dare say we are finally done!  Here is a sort of before and after.

Ok, so the before is a little unfair because it actually looked much worse than this in May.  There was no grass, no stone-lined driveway/path, and the front porch was a big ugly hunk of cement that had to go!  Daddy's hard work has paid off!
