Hudson's "Bathtism"

Hudson was baptized over Memorial Day weekend.  Since he was born and we saw another baby baptized at church, Macy has been asking when Hudson's "bathtism" would be.  I am sure it was an innocent mispronunciation, but given the circumstances of the event, bathtism is actually a pretty fitting name.

Hudson wore the same outfit that TJ and all of his brothers wore when they were baptized.  Our friend, Linda added some beading on the front to jazz it up just for him!

 We had a party/cookout over at our house that evening.  It was a fun time, especially when TJ rounded up an old Spring St. neighbor to bring over his Lightning McQueen car with icecream truck!

Macy's last day of 2 day preschool.  She will go back to the same school again in the fall, but 3 days a week!

Three Months

Hudson is 3 months old!  He is weighing in at roughly 15.5 lbs.  He likes his baby gym and the mobile on his swing (he talks to the animals on it).  He loves being held as much as possible and LOVES his sister.  He also hit a sleep regression this month and we have been up every 1.5-2 hours all night every night for almost a month now. He was never sleeping great, but we were getting 4-ish hour stretches.  We are TIRED, but I guess he can't maintain his 95th percentile figure by not eating all night!  Luckily he's so cute that we've decided to keep him anyway!!!   =)

He was super-smiley as usual for his 3 month photo shoot.  He also didn't want to keep his fists out of his mouth!!  What a ham!

Spring Fling

The spring is flying by and we are enjoying improved weather and are all so excited to get outside more again!  We also took our first weekend trip as a family of four.  We visited the Brevard family in Holland over the first weekend of Tulip Festival.  Both kids did great in the car...hopefully a preview of how they'll be when we tackle a 12 hour drive to North Carolina for Uncle Matt's wedding at the end of the month!  Here are some photos of our adventures:

Macy and Hudson ADORE each other.  He just gazes at her like this all the time when she's in his sight. Melts Mumma's heart!

Macy had her first dance recital.  She danced to Little April Showers from Bambi and did a GREAT job!

Hudson likes the bumbo now and is showing more and more interest in toys these days!  What a grown-up boy!

Happy Birthday Macy Doodle!

Macy is now 4 years old!  She has been really excited about being 4 ever since attending her friend Bryn's 4th birthday party over Thanksgiving weekend.  Her birthday fell on a Friday this year, and her party was on Saturday, so we had 2 straight days of fun!

On her actual birthday we had unseasonably warm weather, hitting the high 60's/low 70's.  We went to the park, then for a happy meal at "Old McDonald's" for lunch.  Macy's choice of afternoon activity was washing mumma's car!  We had dinner at the Fireside (Macy's favorite), then had our first fire of the year and made s'mores!

We went bowling at Biff's for her Doc McStuffins-themed party.  Macy had a blast with her cousins!

Macy had her 4 year doctor appointment, which involved her first shots since she was 18 months old.  She was a real trooper!  She is weighing in at 38 lbs and is 41 inches tall!

Two Terrific Months

Hudson turned 2 months old on April 13th.  He decided to really spiff up for the occasion!

Hudson weighs in at 14 lbs, 10 oz.  He is 24 inches long.  Still our BIG boy!!  He loves to eat and swing.  He is starting to show some interest in his baby gym and other toys.  He is a very smiley baby too!  We think Macy gets the most smiles out of him!  He is not an excellent sleeper yet, but we are starting to get some 4-4.5 hour stretches out of him, which feel great at this point!
