Road Trip with the Flanagans

In mid-August we took off on a 5-day RV adventure with the Flanagans!  We headed to Wisconsin, and had a fun time "glamping" and also squeezed in a visit with the Epplers.  It was a fun trip and we hope they'll invite us on more RV trips in the years to come!  =)

Half Way to One

It is hard to believe that our baby boy is already half way to 1 year old.  Hudson is such a sweet, smiley, happy baby and he brings so much joy to our family!  He had his 6 month check up (complete with 2 shots) today and his weight has leveled off-- he is 17 lbs. 3 oz., so he did not gain much weight since 4 months, but the doctor said it is not uncommon for breastfed babies to plateau on their weight gain around 6 months.  We did a little sleep training and Hudson is sleeping much better, sleeping around 7:30p-7:30a only getting up 1-3 times to eat or get his pacifier in between.  He is scooting and rolling all over when we put him down on the floor, and loves his toys and trying to get power cords!  He can also sit up unassisted for short periods of time before toppling over!   He still likes his jumparoo and loves swinging on the swing set.  Hudson also tried brown rice cereal and sweet potatoes this month and is a real trooper on the eating---he loves it!

On Hudson's actual half-birthday we were in Wisconsin with the Flanagans.  Lucky for Hudson, they like to celebrate half birthdays so he got cake complete with half a candle and his first set of construction equipment!  

Happy Birthday, Georgia

Georgia turned 5 this month (it's really hard to believe!) and we had a birthday party for her at my dad and Chris' house a couple of weekends ago.  Here are some pictures of the party:

Five Fantastic Months!

Hudson is 5 months old today!  He is weighing in at roughly 18 lbs.  He is still a super happy baby, smiling and giggling a lot.  He gets very happy and excited to hear and see Mumma and Macy.  He started sleeping better at the beginning of the month, then hit another regression over the last week or so.  He just likes hanging out too much!  Hudson likes to roll onto his side or tummy to sleep and really likes his jumparoo, which we got out this month.  He loves laughing out loud when we do and say silly things!

Mid-Summer Catch All

We LOVE summer in the Polega house!!!  Warm days on the lake, Mumma is off of work, and our favorite neighbors the Flanagans are here from Florida.  There is really nothing in life that beats these summer days!  Here is a catch-all of some of our favorite photos!

In June we were blessed with 2 new additions to our family in the form of 2 new cousins for Macy and Hudson!  Brian and Marlena welcomed Grady Francis on June 19, 2015 and a week later on June 27, 2015, Mike and Crystal welcomed Emry Ann-Marie!  We are sooo excited to welcome them!  We also were becoming real regulars in the OB ward of the hospital!

4 Months!

Hudson was 4 months old on June 13th.  Mumma was in New Orleans for this month-day so we did photos on the 15th.  So here he is, 4 months and 2 days!

Hudson changed remarkably in many ways during his 3rd month.  He started really laughing and is super ticklish.  He is very smiley and loves his Mumma and sister Macy best (sorry, Dada, he likes you too though)!  He rolls constantly and has become quite good at hiking himself up on his arms during tummy time.  He loves toys now, especially his crackly books and his butterfly and bug on his car seat.  He also loves looking at the reflection of that cute baby boy he sees in the mirror! He still loves being held and eating and is basically always happy as long as he is fed and held.  Sleep was rough in the 3rd month---Mumma and Daddy are exhausted but it doesn't seem to be phasing Hudson at all!   At his 4 month doctor appointment he weighed in at 17 lbs on the dot and 25.5 inches long---still our BIG healthy boy! We are so blessed!
