House Update

Happy Spring!  I wanted to give a quick update on the house project.  It is coming along and really starting to look like a house again---although there is still plenty of progress to be made.  We are still on track to be back in by late April/early May.
Front of house-before
Front of house today---Siding is about 2/3 done!

Back of house- before

Back of house today!  No siding on the back yet, as you can see.

This was about 6 weeks ago---no drywall yet!  You can see into the master bedroom from the front door.

Our cabinet-less kitchen
Our new fireplace--this is its current state- still some work to do there!
Progress-the living room is dry walled, painted, and the stair rail was put in this week!  The upper rail is still missing, except 1 lonely post.
Kitchen/laundry/hallway/bath tile-TJ and Brian are working on installing it right this moment!

Upstairs loft/living area.  We have a whitewashed tongue and groove ceiling here- I do not like the paint color and we are changing it to something grey-er to contrast with the ceiling better.
Macy's yellow bedroom (with my piano currently being stored in the middle of it!)
Hudson's room is CRAZY- so many ceiling lines, plus a beam.  The navy is 1 accent wall, the rest is grey.

Not the best lighting but looking down into the living room from upstairs
It's been quite the project!  We are excited to see it coming together and can't wait to move home and have so much more space than we had to begin with!

One Year Photo Shoot

We did a mini photo shoot for Hudson's birthday.  The pictures aren't the greatest because he was sick and extremely unhappy and crying through pretty much the whole thing.  It was amazing that the photographers were able to capture the photos we do have!   They turned out cute all things considered, it's a memory anyway!

Happy Birthday, Hudsy Dudsy!

A post dedicated to our sweet one year old--

He woke up on his birthday to balloons and gifts!
He loved the jungle toy that Macy picked out for him all by herself

We love you so much, Hudson!  You bring sunshine to our family every day and none of us can imagine our lives without you. It has been an awesome year that has gone by so fast and we can't wait to share many more years with you!!

A Wild One

Happy 1st birthday to our baby boy, Hudson!  He was lucky enough to have his birthday fall on a Saturday so we celebrated his party right on his birthday.  It was a fun-filled day!
The invitation to the big party!

In all reality, the party was probably not the most fun thing in Hudson's world.  He would probably rather be hanging out quietly at home with Mumma, Dada, and Macy.  He is going through a phase where he is not a fan of "strangers" and mostly just wants to be with Mumma all the time.  But he sure looks cute!!

Hudson's personal smash cake
And the big cake, made so graciously by our friend Jessica!  It was so cute and yummy!

You would probably not guess that Hudson was 4 months older---they look like they could be twins!

Yum!

Hudson's Last Month-day

It is incredibly hard to believe that our sweet baby boy is going to be one in less than a month....Hudson is 11 months old!  This month Hudson started giving us 5, and he started giving kisses (he saves most of them for Mumma)!  He also says Mumma and Dada quite a lot (especially Dada) but that's about it for words.  He is cruising on furniture and walks behind his little push toy, and he is becoming quite a stable little stander....walking can't be too far off!  We are up to 6 teeth.  Hudson decided this month he is not going to take bottles any more, and these days he is refusing nursing sometimes too.  Looks like this little boy is going to wean himself!  We also went through a phase where he was waking up at 3 am every night and refusing to go back to sleep unless he was in Mumma and Daddy's bed.  Luckily we seem to be past that habit!   Hudson's current favorite activities are pulling all of the plastic dishes out of the cupboard, clearing out the bottom shelves in the pantry (and helping himself to cheerios!), climbing the stairs, getting into any cabinet/cupboard he can, and pretty much every other bit of trouble he can find!  He also looooves bath time, thinks his sister is hilarious, and is definitely Mumma's boy.  It warms my heart the way he lights up and gets so excited when I walk in the room!

First Snow

This fall/early winter has been exceptionally warm---we have had temps near 60 in the past week!  It was beginning to look like we might never get snow, but this week we finally got some winter-y weather.  Macy was super excited to get outside and make a snowman.  Out elf, Olivia, left Macy and Hudson a snowman making kit with all of the important accessories, so we decided to put it to good use!
