Chi-Town and Cheese Heads

A couple of weekends ago, we headed to Wisconsin for what has become our annual fall trip to visit the Epplers.  We also spent a night and day in Chicago on our way.  Here are some pictures from all of the fun we had!

Children's Museum at Navy Pier!

We rode the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel!

Needed a shot at Macy's store on Michigan Ave!

I have been to Chicago many times, but this was the first time I made it over to Millennium Park to see the bean.  So cool!

Macy's big surprise was a trip to the Disney Store on Michigan Ave.  She got to pick out something to buy and chose the Elsa doll she's holding here right away!

Cashed out with her new BFF.

Onto Wisconsin-Macy helped Aunt Megan decorate for Halloween and we found this gem.
 Franken-Macy!

We also made a trip to the pumpkin farm.  Feeding goats with Baby Drew!

Growing Fast!

Macy jumped on this thing last year and loved revisiting it!

Best pic you can get of a 3 year old and a 1 year old!

There was a lady making balloon characters---Macy got Tink!

It was a fun trip and nice little long-weekend getaway with some family bonding time.  We will be looking forward to making the trip as a family of 4 (gulp!) next year!

Saying Goodbye to Summer

Now that fall is officially here, it seemed like a good time to post our last pictures from Summer, 2014!  We have been busy in many ways.  Macy started preschool at Our Savior Lutheran Preschool in Bad Axe.  She was a little sad in the beginning, but has adjusted very well and loves school!  She also started dance classes at Step It Up Studio in Bad Axe.  She has been a bit slower to warm up to dance class, but we're working on it!  We have also been preparing to welcome Baby P the second into our family this winter!  I had my "big" 18-week ultrasound a couple of weeks ago.  All three of us got to go and see a healthy little peanut moving and shaking in there, which was exciting for everyone!  Like with Macy, we are not finding out whether Baby P #2 is a boy or a girl until his or her birthday in mid-February!

A fleeting end-of-summer swim with Georgia!

Love these two

Our neighbors, the Flanagans, took off back to Florida on us at the beginning of September.  Lucky them!  Macy and Bryn got in one last night of S'mores before they left.  An awful lot of chocolate disappeared when we weren't looking!
1st Day of Preschool- 9/4/14.  Yes, I am aware that I messed up the date on the chalkboard!

Another first- Macy FINALLY got her first haircut---just a little trim.  She did great and I think actually enjoyed it quite a bit.  She loved Rejo--especially when she gave her a lollipop at the end!
Finally got to doing our first belly picture at 18 weeks!

Macy likes to "tickle the baby"

Hi little Peanut!  18 week ultrasound
Excited to be a Big Sister!

Macy went with us to the MSU vs. EMU football game last weekend.  The weather was beautiful and she did great at the game!  It was lots of fun!

The Latest Polega News....

Don't let the pink color of the little flip flops mislead you---we aren't finding out whether Peanut #2 is a boy or girl until his/her birthday!  (even though Macy is sure it's a sister!)   We are all so excited!

Summer Catch-All

Now that summer is almost over and I have not been doing so well on keeping the blog up to date, I wanted to include one more post of some of my favorite (mostly iphone) photos of what we've been up to this summer that didn't quite fit in the other posts!
Cruising on the Proud Mary!

Getting up close to the light house!

Breaking in her Dora fishing pole (she LOVES fishing-just like her Daddy!)

Captain and his First Mate

Georgia's birthday party-2 princesses ready to party!

Macy and Georgia with Boppy and Dzia Dzia

Georgia with her Daddy and Crystal

My beautiful god-daughter and I!

Back in June we went up to the Mausolf's cabin for a weekend with Mike, Leah and Jacob.  We went to a park one day and Macy LOVED this "bee swing."  She still asks about it!

First s'more of the summer!

Macy and Grandma grew these sunflowers from seed!  They bloomed very nicely!

We made a trip to the Chicago area for Uncle Matt and Amanda's bridal shower, then made a pit-stop in Wisconsin to see the Eppler's on the way home!  Baby Drew is catching up to Macy!

One of Macy's favorite things this summer has been lady bugs!  She loves playing with them and putting them on her arm/hand so they can walk around and "tickle" her!

Beach day with Lily and Bella

Bubbles!

We went to the petroglyphs and on a nature hike with Mr. Varner, Renee, Bresnan, and Bryn!  These little hikers made it the whole trail!

I mustache you a question.

Macy had her first putt-putting experience.  Let's just say Bryn is a little more of a seasoned golfer than Macy!

Another ride on the Proud Mary.  This time with Julia!

Day trip to the Saginaw Children's Zoo with Aunt Sarah, Lily, and Bella

Popsicles at the beach!
